Fuel Prices Perth — Today's and Tomorrow's Prices
Perth is the easiest capital in Australia to buy fuel cheaply — if you know how FuelWatch works. Every price is locked for 24 hours by law, tomorrow's prices are set by 2 PM today, and the weekly cycle is remarkably orderly. Petrol Australia puts all of it on a live map.
How Perth pricing works
Every WA station submits its next-day price by 2 PM; that price applies from 6 AM the next morning for a full 24 hours. No mid-day jumps: the price you see at 8 AM is the price at 8 PM. Full explainer: FuelWatch WA explained.
What's the cheapest day for petrol in Perth?
Typically Wednesday or Thursday — but the cycle can shift around holidays and oil moves, so check the live signal in Insights rather than trusting the calendar. Because tomorrow's prices are set the afternoon before, "should I fill tonight or tomorrow morning?" always has a knowable answer in Perth — see Will petrol go up tomorrow?.
Finding the cheapest station in Perth
- Open Petrol Australia and pick your fuel — WA reports ULP (91), Diesel, and LPG (FuelWatch doesn't publish E10/95/98 — see Fuel prices Western Australia)
- The map colour-codes every station from Joondalup to Mandurah; the Nearby list ranks them by price
- Coverage extends across regional WA too — Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Broome, Albany, and highway sites in between
The spread across Perth on any given day is real money on a full tank, and because prices are locked, a cheap station found in the morning is still cheap after work.
RAC members: see your real price
RAC members save 4c/L at participating Caltex stations across WA (up to 120 L/transaction, including diesel and LPG). Enrol in the app and the map shows your discounted effective price at participating sites. See RAC fuel discount.
