Set Up Your Vehicle
Adding your vehicle lets Petrol Australia calculate accurate dollar savings when comparing stations. Without it, comparisons use a default tank size and economy figure, which may not match your car.
How to add a vehicle
- Open the Profile tab
- In the Vehicles section, tap Add
- Fill in the details and tap Save

What vehicle data is used for
Station Compare: Uses tank size to calculate gross savings (price difference × litres), and fuel economy to calculate the extra fuel cost of driving to a cheaper station. Without these, the comparison falls back to generic estimates.
Route & trips: Your default vehicle's tank size, economy and fuel type drive the cost, savings and CO₂ estimates when you plan a Route and record a fill.
Multiple vehicles
You can add multiple vehicles — useful if you have a petrol daily driver and a diesel work ute. Each vehicle stores its own fuel type preference. One vehicle is marked as the default (the Preferred one — tap the heart to set it) and is used for route and comparison estimates.
Deleting a vehicle
Open the vehicle from the Vehicles section on the Profile tab and tap Delete vehicle.
