Home Screen Widget

The Petrol Australia widget sits on your iPhone home screen and shows the cheapest station within your home radius for your selected fuel type — no app open required.

Requires: Free account + home location set.
Platform: iOS only.

Adding the widget

1. Long-press your iPhone home screen until icons jiggle
2. Tap + (top-left corner)
3. Search for Petrol Australia
4. Select the widget size and tap Add Widget
5. Place it on your home screen, tap Done

What the widget shows

• Cheapest station name and brand within your home radius
• Current price for your selected fuel type
• Distance from your home location
• Last updated time

Widget settings

The widget uses:

• Home location — your saved home address/coordinates
• Search radius — same radius as your notification radius (Profile → Home location or Profile → Notifications)
• Fuel type — your selected fuel type in the app

There is one shared radius setting for both notifications and the widget.

Refreshing the widget

The widget refreshes automatically when new price data is available. You can also force a refresh by opening the app — this triggers a data sync.

Widget not updating?

Check:

1. Home location is set (Profile → Home location)
2. The app has been opened at least once since adding the widget
3. Background App Refresh is enabled for Petrol Australia in iOS Settings
