Home Screen Widget

The Petrol Australia widget sits on your home screen and shows a live fuel price at a glance — no app open required. It works on iPhone and Android.

Requires: Free account.

Choose what the widget shows

In Profile → Preferences → Widgets, pick one of two modes under What to show:

  • Cheapest within radius — always shows the lowest price near home for your preferred fuel. Needs your home location set and uses a search radius (the same radius as your price-cycle alerts).
  • A favourite station — pins one specific station you fill up at most often. Choose it from your favourites.

Adding the widget to your home screen

On iPhone:

  1. Long-press an empty area of your home screen until the icons jiggle
  2. Tap the + button in the top-left corner
  3. Search for Petrol Australia and pick the widget size you want
  4. Tap Add Widget, then Done

On Android:

  1. Long-press an empty area of your home screen
  2. Tap Widgets from the bottom menu
  3. Find Petrol Australia in the list and long-press the widget you want
  4. Drag it to the position you want, then release

The Widgets screen also shows a live preview of how each size will look.

What the widget shows

  • The station name and brand (the cheapest nearby, or your chosen favourite)
  • The current price for your preferred fuel type
  • For Cheapest within radius, the distance from your home location
  • When the price was last updated
