Home Screen Widget
The Petrol Australia widget sits on your home screen and shows a live fuel price at a glance — no app open required. It works on iPhone and Android.
Requires: Free account.
Choose what the widget shows
In Profile → Preferences → Widgets, pick one of two modes under What to show:
- Cheapest within radius — always shows the lowest price near home for your preferred fuel. Needs your home location set and uses a search radius (the same radius as your price-cycle alerts).
- A favourite station — pins one specific station you fill up at most often. Choose it from your favourites.
Adding the widget to your home screen
On iPhone:
- Long-press an empty area of your home screen until the icons jiggle
- Tap the + button in the top-left corner
- Search for Petrol Australia and pick the widget size you want
- Tap Add Widget, then Done
On Android:
- Long-press an empty area of your home screen
- Tap Widgets from the bottom menu
- Find Petrol Australia in the list and long-press the widget you want
- Drag it to the position you want, then release
The Widgets screen also shows a live preview of how each size will look.
What the widget shows
- The station name and brand (the cheapest nearby, or your chosen favourite)
- The current price for your preferred fuel type
- For Cheapest within radius, the distance from your home location
- When the price was last updated
