MyFuel NT — Northern Territory Fuel Prices Explained
MyFuel NT is the Northern Territory Government's official fuel price reporting scheme. NT fuel retailers report their pump prices to the scheme, and the data is published so Territorians can compare prices before filling up.

What is MyFuel NT?
MyFuel NT is run by the Northern Territory Government (myfuelnt.nt.gov.au). Fuel retailers across the Territory report their current pump prices to the scheme, which makes the NT one of the states and territories with an official, government-operated price source.

How often do NT fuel prices update?
Petrol Australia refreshes NT prices from the MyFuel NT feed every hour. When a retailer reports a new price to the scheme, you'll see it in the app shortly after.

Do I need the MyFuel NT app or website?
You can use the government's own tools, but Petrol Australia shows the same official MyFuel NT data with extras the government site doesn't offer:

Why is fuel more expensive in the NT?
Territory prices are typically higher than the east-coast capitals: fuel travels further to get there, there are fewer competing stations, and the big-city weekly discounting cycle is weak or absent. That makes comparing stations before you fill up even more valuable — the spread between the cheapest and dearest station in Darwin can be significant.
