Guide
Price Alerts
Price alerts watch a specific station and fuel type and notify you the moment the pump price drops below your target.
Requires: Free account + push notifications enabled on your device.
How to set an alert
- Tap any station on the map or in the Nearby list
- In the station details sheet, tap Set price alert
- The current pump price is shown as a reference
- Use the + and − buttons to set your target price (1c increments)
- Tap Save alert
You can set alerts on multiple stations and multiple fuel types at the same station.
What triggers a notification
When the station's pump price for that fuel type drops to or below your threshold, Petrol Australia sends a push notification with the station name, current price, and your target.
Managing alerts
- View all alerts: Profile tab → Price Alerts
- Toggle on/off: Each alert has an enable/disable toggle — useful if you've filled up but want to keep the alert for next time
- Update threshold: Open the alert and adjust the target price
- Delete: Swipe to delete or open and tap Remove
Alert range
Target prices can be set between 100 c/L and 300 c/L. The app shows the current price next to your target so you can see how far off it is.
Quiet hours
Alerts respect your quiet hours setting. No notifications are sent between your FROM and TO hours (default 9 PM–7 AM). See Notifications & quiet hours for how to adjust this.
